पुनर्जन्म और योनि-परिवर्तन के अर्थ पर पुनर्विचार   कई बार प्रश्न उठता है कि — क्या "चौरासी लाख योनि" का अर्थ वास्तव में शरीरों का परिवर्तन है , या यह चेतना के विकास का प्रतीक है ? और मानव जन्म का वास्तविक उद्देश्य क्या है — सिर्फ जीवन जीना या मुक्ति प्राप्त करना ?   तीन परम्पराओं की दृष्टि भारतीय परम्पराएँ — जैन , बौद्ध और हिन्दू — पुनर्जन्म को स्वीकार करती हैं , पर उनकी व्याख्या में सूक्ष्म अन्तर है। हिन्दू दृष्टि में आत्मा शरीर बदलती है , जैसे वस्त्र बदलते हैं। जैन दर्शन में जीव कर्मों के अनुसार नई योनि प्राप्त करता है , जबकि बौद्ध दर्शन में चेतना-सन्तान एक प्रवाह के रूप में आगे बढ़ती है। तीनों में एक बात समान है — चेतना की गुणवत्ता अगली अवस्था को निर्धारित करती है , शरीर नहीं। इस तरह , पुनर्जन्म का विचार केवल शरीर बदलने तक सीमित नहीं है , बल्कि चेतना की यात्रा को समझाने का एक गहरा माध्यम है। इसी कारण "योनि" का वास्तविक अर्थ किसी जीव का बाहरी रूप नहीं , बल्कि उसकी आन्तरिक चेतना का स्तर है।   एक सामान्य भ्रम का निवारण कभ...
